Researching

The last couple of days I have been researching photo blogs and challenges. Recently I've been on a quest to find something to challenge myself with and this path sounds intriguing. I would call myself a bit of a dabbler in a lot of things including hobbies. The ones I tend to stick to (or come back to) are things like photography, crochet, stamping, and reading.

So, my new challenge is to try to take a picture a day and post it for the next month. The picture will need to be something I took that day, either through my phone or with a regular camera. Here are three from the last couple of days.

This week I finished crocheting a hat for Kes. It actually went better than I expected. This week's project is to finish the DVD for Marching Band and get started on the digital scrapbooks for Christmas presents.

New Hobby Ideas

I have decided to try to find a new hobby that works around my work schedule and the kid's activities. A co-worker told me about an idea for making weights for dogs to use in therapy. I may have to give that a try. I have some extra fabric. I'll let you know how it is going. Any other ideas on new hobbies or activities to try is great!

Marching Band and School

This week is full of Marching Cardinal activities and school work for the family. Ryan is getting back into the swing of things with his classes and the kids are settling into a routine with theirs. This weekend we will be heading out the the Minnesota Ren Faire to hang out and have some fun with Amy, Matt, and kids. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Time to dust off the family

Today I decided I needed to dust off the family life and start to write some of this stuff down.

When I started this blog, I had no idea what to blog about. Originally it was supposed to be a way to keep the extended family up to date on what we have been up to. I let it slide for a long time.

Now, it is off and running again. I am going to devote some time each week to post about what we are up to, what zany ideas the kids have come up with and possibly some other random ideas we are working on.
